(Jr.) R&D Mechanical Engineer
As a Resato's (junior) R&D Mechanical Engineer you design and/or develop new components and systems. Our product range includes components and systems for testing, injection and controlling that operate up to 14,000 bar. On the road to a greener future, our product range has been further expanded with our hydrogen filling stations, boosters and test systems. In this position you will be accountable to the Development Manager and support the development team.
What are you going to do
You are responsible for setting up concepts for new components and systems. You make a consideration between different concepts and evaluate their feasibility. In doing so, you take into account the established specifications. When you have supported your ideas technically to your team and the Development Manager, you decide to go for that one concept. You will develop this concept. You make detail and composition drawings and perform strength calculations and simulations. If necessary, you will investigate the applicability of new materials and manufacturing processes. Then it is time to build and test a prototype, in order to work towards an end product. In addition to an executive role, you also have a monitoring role. You monitor the progress of the development process and take actions to make innovation reality
Further activities are:
- Modification of existing constructions, in consultation with the Manager Development;
- Setting up and managing the technical construction files (TCD);
- Setting up and performing risk analyses;
- Implementation of European standards and guidelines;
- Coordinate with project team members on technical solutions and components in the phases design, construction, assembly and testing.
First of all, we think it is important that you have knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics. These are important techniques in the components and systems you are going to develop. Additional knowledge of electrical engineering is an advantage. You have a proactive attitude; you recognize opportunities and contribute concepts for new systems and components. Furthermore, a good command of the Dutch and English languages is important to us (German is an advantage). These languages are necessary to communicate with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
We also ask:
- Bachelor in mechanical engineering;
- Quality-oriented and goal-oriented;
- Good knowledge of 3D Solid Works and Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of Keytech or a similar PLM system.
A challenging and varied range of tasks within an innovative company. You will work in a small and informal team. In addition, we offer you:
