As a company, we have taken our first steps in the Netherlands concerning hydrogen, where we already installed several hydrogen refueling stations and components. Now we also expand across the border. Our first public hydrogen filling station in Germany is a fact! The APEX Group chooses a public hydrogen refueling station from Resato. With this station, a variety of buses and cars will be refueled at 350 and 700 bar. The station will be placed in their hydrogen testing ground. Here the company shows what is possible with hydrogen and how it can be used as a promoter in the energy transition process.

APEX
The APEX group, based in North Germany, specialises in the production and distribution of modular renewable hydrogen energy solutions including an own storage system. At its location in Rostock - Laage, within sight of the airport, APEX operates the hydrogen power center in northern Germany where know-how is bundled and application research is promoted. Market-leading companies in the areas of fuel cells, electrolysis, combined heat and power (CHP) and battery storage complement the APEX system competence. The largest grid-connected hydrogen plant in Europe will go into operation in June 2020 in order to supply the entire site with CO2-neutral energy.

The hydrogen economy in Germany
In the Netherlands, the number of stations can now be counted on one hand. In Germany the hydrogen economy is further advanced: many stations are already operational. In March last year, for example, the 62nd station opened. In November this had already risen to 76 stations. Although more and more stations are being added, there is still a lot to do on the road to a greener world. We are convinced that this step by APEX will provide an extra boost in the region and set an example for others.
