Assen, The Netherlands. Yesterday evening at the De Kolk Theater in Assen, Resato International, the high pressure expert, has been awarded the best company of the region Drenthe for the year 2017. “For us it is an honor to be awarded this prize and it is great to see that our regional efforts in developing knowledge and the economy in the Northern Netherlands is visible”, says Rob Castien after the ceremony.

The ceremony kicked-off with great enthusiasm of all nominated companies. Besides Resato, the door and window frame supplier BPZ and Waterking, a manufacturer of amphibious excavating equipment, had been nominated for the award. With approximately 200 entrepreneurs and more viewers via the live stream, the tension was rising during the showing of the company movies, which had been specially made for the event, and the brief interviews with each finalist. “The region Drenthe is unique due to its working mentality. People want to get things done and are proud of their achievements. This adds a lot to our success”, said Rob Castien, CEO of Resato. At 21:30, it was time to announce the award’s winner.

 

Innovation, regional commitment, sustainability

“Resato sets the new standard in the field of high pressure technology internationally. Whether it concerns waterjet cutting or components for the oil & gas industry. Resato’s solutions are impressive”, the Dagblad van Het Noorden quoted Jury Chairman and Deputy Henk Brink. Despite its international business success, Resato preserves strong ties to the Northern Netherlands by sourcing over 50% in the Northern Netherlands, stated the Jury. In addition, the commitment to developing the hydrogen economy in the Netherlands shows the organization’s eye to sustainability found the Jury.

According to RTV Drenthe and the Dagblad van het Noorden, the Jury appreciated Resato’s personnel policy which is focused on a “healthy lifestyle, safe working, and continuous training”.
