Virtual waterjet 3D training

Resato announces the completion of an innovative development. Along with knowledge institution Kenteq and Amsterdam game development company ‘Little Chicken', we developed a 3D virtual environment in which new operators can be trained to operate the basics of the machine.

The 3D virtual enviroment to can walk around in

With this innovative way of learning Resato wants to build a bridge to the practice-oriented operators, who normally would have to dive into boring manuals at the beginning of their training.

Exact replica of the cutting software

Ton Driessen, COO & CFO of Resato, said: "We have to be ahead of our time, rather than up-to-date. We demonstrate that educating operators can be done efficiently in an appealing way that is practice-oriented. With this development we have created an unlimited number of machines  for 'hands-on' practice. Everybody can learn the basics independently and in their own time, so that we, in the delivery of our machine, can focus on the craftsmanship of waterjet cutting - the finesses."

Ton Driessen also points out the advantages for companies. "There is a shortage of well-trained staff. This method guides the operator to a safe, clean but most importantly right way of working. By starting to help operators to work with a fixed procedure the companies will have less errors resulting in a reduction of loss in material, time and energy. The benefits can be summarized briefly: Top staff, reduction in cost and added flexibility. A cracking result!"
